28/02/2021 (ISL : MATCH 109)</b> : FC GOA - <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> - HYDERABAD FC

All FC Goa needed to progress to the playoffs was a draw. That they achieved with an efficient performance as they held Hyderabad FC to a goalless draw at the Fatorda Stadium here on Sunday, setting a new Hero Indian Super League record for the longest unbeaten run in the process.

A brilliant defensive performance from Ivan Gonzalez and some crucial saves from Dheeraj Singh was enough for the Gaurs to get the point they needed. They were lucky not to concede late in the game and a good show from Hyderabad was not enough to stop Juan Ferrando’s men from qualifying for their fourth consecutive semifinals and extending their unbeaten run to 13 games. Hyderabad are still unbeaten in 2021 and extended their unbeaten run to 12 games, but they had to settle for fifth on the table.

Both sides have scored more goals in the second session and Goa rang in an early warning when Alberto Noguera set Redeem Tlang free on the left. The winger covered some distance and crossed to Alexander Jesuraj, who was late to react. With HFC trying to get the required goal to progress, tempers flared along with the pressure as Edu Bedia, Tlang and Joao Victor went into the referee’s books within a span of nine minutes.

Hyderabad had their best opportunity in the 84th minute. Victor chipped in a delightful ball into the box from outside the box. Joel Chianese and Liston Colaco, both of whom made runs in behind, failed to head in from close range. After being withdrawn, Lluis Sastre was shown a red for throwing a bottle at the Goa bench. Noguera also received a yellow and will miss the first leg of the playoffs.

Hyderabad nearly took the lead in the injury time but Gonzalez came with a crucial interception to deny Liston Colaco from scoring a simple tap-in. Later, Adil Khan almost scored an own goal but an alert Dheeraj pulled off a stunning save to send his team into the playoffs.

MATCH DETAILS - ISL : They knew they were being watched by their closest playoff rivals, NorthEast United and FC Goa. They needed a statement of intent to make their top-four ambitions clear. And Hyderabad FC did just that as they outclassed Kerala Blasters 4-0 in the Hero Indian Super League at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Tuesday.

A brace from Fran Sandaza (58, 63’) and goals from Aridane Santana (86’) and Joao Victor (90’) helped Hyderabad climb to third on the table. The result meant Kerala Blasters are now mathematically out of the playoff race.

16/02/2021 (ISL:MATCH-96) : HYDERABAD FC - <b><font color=red> 4-0 </b></font> - KERALA BLASTERS

Kerala were on top for the majority of the opening half, registering four shots on target compared to Hyderabad’s zero. Hyderabad looked livelier towards the end of the first half but it only showed when Joel Chianese shifted from the flanks towards the middle. However, inefficiency in the final third from both sides meant that the scoreline remained goalless at the break.

A howler from Kerala keeper Albino Gomes in the 21st minute almost gifted Hyderabad the opener. He made a mess while attempting to clear a long ball before Costa Nhamoinesu cleared it out of danger. Seconds later, another big chance went begging for the Nizams. Victor whipped a teasing cross in the box for Santana, who blazed his header over the bar.

While Hyderabad eventually grew in the game, a defensive mistake from them in the 39th minute almost handed Kerala the opening goal. Prasanth Karuthadathkuni pounced on a miscued backward pass by Akash Mishra before firing a shot that went straight to Hyderabad custodian Laxmikant Kattimani.

Throughout this season, Hyderabad have always come out stronger in the second half, scoring more goals after the break. And they did that again. Hyderabad broke the deadlock when Sandaza stabbed home from close range after a miscommunication between Bakary Kone and Costa. Four minutes later, another blunder from Gomes saw Hyderabad double their advantage. Chianese latched on to a poor back pass from Kone before being clipped by Gomes inside the box. Sandaza converted the penalty with a calm panenka finish.

Hyderabad continued to pile on the pressure and their efforts would be rewarded soon. Santana joined the party late on after heading in Lluis Sastre’s freekick, yet another set-piece goal for the Nizams. In injury time, Santana turned creator, flicking the ball on from a cross towards Victor, who scored a simple tap-in.

MATCH DETAILS - ISL : Both Hyderabad FC and NorthEast United failed to break away from the pack chasing the final two playoff spots as they cancelled each other out in a goalless draw at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Sunday.

While Hyderabad moved to third on goal difference, NEUFC climbed above FC Goa to fourth. The Gaurs, however, have a game in hand and will face leaders Mumbai City FC on Monday.

07/02/2021 (ISL : Match 86) : HYDERABAD FC - <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> - NORTH EAST UNITED

No one was able to find the breakthrough in the first half with defences of both sides standing tall. Despite hogging possession, Hyderabad registered just one shot on target against NEUFC in the first half — their lowest against any opposition this season, highlighting their inefficiency in the final third. Meanwhile, NEUFC eventually grew into the game and fashioned better opportunities as the first half drew to a close.

Hyderabad fashioned a half-chance early on when Halicharan Narzary whipped a cross in to the box. Aridane Santana attacked the ball and leapt high but Dylan Fox made a brave clearance, following a clash of heads. NEUFC created their first big chance in the 24th minute from a free-kick. Luis Machado raced down the left and delivered a cross that was cleared out by Akash Mishra. Lalengmawia pounced on the loose ball but aimed his header straight at Hyderabad keeper Laxmikant Kattimani.

NEUFC won another free-kick in the later stages of the first half and they should've done better. Federico Gallego pinged the ball towards Benjamin Lambot at the far post, who flicked the ball towards Machado. The Portuguese forward failed to make any contact with the ball, missing a sitter from close range. However, the linesman later raised his flag after Lambot had strayed offside.

The second half proved to be drab, with neither team able to register a single shot on target. The best chance of the half came during the 85th minute after substitute VP Suhair won NEUFC a free-kick. Gallego fired a teasing cross towards the far post and picked out Lambot but the defender blazed his header over the bar.

The Highlanders continued to push for a winner and came close to doing so in injury time. Gallego threaded a fine through ball in the box for Machado but Kattimani came off his line well in time to avert danger.

MATCH REPORT- ISL : Hyderabad FC did their chances of making the Hero Indian Super League playoffs a world of good with a 2-0 victory over Chennaiyin FC at the Tilak Maidan Stadium, here on Sunday.

Goals from Fran Sandaza (28') and Joel Chianese (82’) were enough to secure all three points for the Nizams and propel them to third place on the table.

31/01/2021 (MATCH 77: ISL) </b> : HYDERBAD FC - <b><font color=red> 2-0 </b></font> - CHENNAIYIN FC

Hyderabad made their intentions clear right from the start, winning a corner in just the fifth minute. The promising Asish Rai, who has enjoyed something of a breakthrough season, was the architect of the move, sprinting into the Chennaiyin box and finding Mohammed Yasir. After the latter's cross was put behind for a corner, Rai got another chance but sent his cross over.

Hyderabad kept attacking in the first quarter and they got their reward just before the half-hour mark when Sandaza broke the deadlock. After receiving the ball from a throw-in, the Spaniard found Joao Victor, who returned the favour with an excellent through ball. Sandaza was still under pressure from Deepak Tangri but shook off the defender by shifting the ball onto his other foot and slotting it into the back of the net.

Chennaiyin had a period of possession after the goal but poor passing in the final third meant nothing came of it. As the first half came to a close, Sandaza's goal was the only shot on target from either team.

Chennaiyin came out of the half-time break with a couple of changes — Fatkhulo Fatkhulloev and Edwin Vanspaul came on for Germanpreet Singh and Thoi Singh — and the move looked to have paid off immediate dividends. Eli Sabia came up all the way from defence and found himself with a direct sight on goal. His powerful shot from outside the box looked to be going in, but instead struck the crossbar and bounced away.

The crossbar once again came to Hyderabad's rescue and this time, it was substitute Fatkhulloev's turn to rue what should have been a goal.

Hyderabad looked resigned to sitting back and defending as Chennaiyin went from being having less of the ball in the first half to dominating possession in the second. However, their lack of creativity and wastefulness in front of goal was on show once again — with ten minutes left in the game, they managed just a single shot on goal.

They soon paid for that when Hyderabad put the game beyond all doubt with a second goal. Chianese, who had replaced goalscorer Sandaza early in the second half, was played through by another excellent pass from Victor. Chianese had only a narrow target to aim at but he found the back of the net with ease.

MATCH REPORT - ISL : Two late goals in a span of five minutes broke Bengaluru FC hearts as Hyderabad FC came from behind in dramatic fashion to draw 2-2 in the Hero Indian Super League at the Tilak Maidan, Vasco, on Thursday. BFC led 2-0 through goals from Sunil Chhetri (9’) and Leon Augustine (61’). However, Aridane Santana pulled a goal back in the 86th minute before Fran Sandaza scored a 90th-minute leveler, as BFC's winless run extended to eight games.

28/01/21 (ISL: M-74) </b> : HYDERABAD FC - <b><font color=red> 2-2 </b></font> - BENGALURU FC

Interim coach Naushad Moosa handed a first start to Leon Augustine while Harmanjot Khabra returned to the starting XI. For Hyderabad, Manuel Marquez started with Liston Colaco and Joao Victor. Bengaluru suffered an early blow and were forced to make an early substitution after Juanan pulled his hamstring in the fifth minute. The Spaniard was replaced by Parag Srivas.

Soon, Moosa’s side got their noses in front from yet another set-piece. Cleiton Silva whipped in a precise delivery into the box. Chhetri lost his marker and jumped above the rest to find the back of the net. Hyderabad were doing everything right except in the final third. Akash Mishra executed a one-two pass with Halicharan Narzary and the left-back crossed into the box, but none of his teammates could get on the end of it.

The remainder of the half saw both sides miss a couple of chances. Liston used his trickery and quick pace to get into the final third, but an excellent Rahul Bheke stood tall to avert any danger as Moosa’s side walked into the breather with a slender 1-0 lead.

Hyderabad were much livelier after the restart. The Nizams pressurised the opponents, winning a corner. However, Santana couldn't keep his composure, directing Hitesh Sharma's corner into the frame. Santana had another chance soon, but was thwarted by Bengaluru keeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.

Then, a defensive lapse saw the Nizams fall further behind in the game. Hitesh Sharma misplaced a pass and Augustine darted into the box and shot with the outside of his right foot to beat the onrushing Laxmikant Kattimani. Hyderabad, who dominated the evening in terms of possession and passing, finally pulled a goal back in the 86th minute from a counter-attack. Rohit Danu on getting the ball on the right flank put in a brilliant cross into the box. The ball took a slight touch of Srivas and reached Santana, who tapped in past the BFC keeper.

With just a few minutes left, Hyderabad went all out and had their reward. Roland Alberg miscued a shot from outside the box, which fell to Sandaza. The Spaniard took a touch before smashing past Gurpreet for the equaliser.

MATCH REPORT - ISL : Jamshedpur FC and Hyderabad FC shared a point each as they canceled each other out in a goalless draw in the Hero Indian Super League at the Tilak Maidan Stadium, here on Sunday. While Hyderabad ended up drawing their third game on the trot, Jamshedpur nabbed their first win of the calendar year, after a treble of losses. New signings Farukh Choudhary and Seiminlen Doungel were among the four changes made by Jamshedpur while Roland Alberg was handed his first start as Hyderabad rang in two changes. .

The opening half was an intriguing, open-ended contest with both sides hitting the post but failing to find the net. Hyderabad fashioned better chances but Jamshedpur keeper TP Rehenesh produced two fine saves to keep the scoreline goalless heading into the break.

24/01/21 (ISL : M-69)</b> : JAMSHEDPUR FC - <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> - HYDERABAD FC

Rehenesh was called into action in the ninth minute after Hyderabad started brightly. Aridane Santana found Joel Chianese with a neat through ball in the box but the latter's effort was kept out by Rehenesh, who came off his line well in time.

The Jamshedpur custodian pulled off another fine save around the half-hour mark, denying Halicharan Narzary this time. Receiving the ball from Chianese, Narzary made his way into the box before drilling a shot at the far corner. Rehenesh dived full stretch to push the ball away, as it rattled the post.

Jamshedpur started imposing themselves as the first half drew to a close and nearly broke the deadlock from a corner. Hyderabad keeper Laxmikant Kattimani fluffed his lines while dealing with Aitor Monroy's cross, allowing Stephen Eze to head the ball. But his effort struck the woodwork before being cleared out.

The second half turned out to be a scrappy affair. Neither sides were able to carve out clear-cut chances with both sides defending resolutely. Hyderabad had a chance to score through a set-piece but Santana failed to keep his shot on target. Hitesh Sharma's free-kick was cleared by Eze and it fell to Santana, who sliced his volley wide of the post.

Jamshedpur registered their first shot on target in the 87th minute, with Nerijus Valskis missing a half chance. Farukh won the ball and delivered a cross in the box for Valskis whose header was aimed straight at Kattimani. The best chance of the game arrived in injury time with Farukh nearly handing Jamshedpur the lead. Prancing into the box after receiving a long ball from Monroy, the forward had only the keeper to beat, but his shot found the side netting.

MATCH REPORT-ISL : Mumbai City FC and Hyderabad FC played out an evenly fought goalless draw in the Hero Indian Super League at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim, on Saturday. In a match where both teams failed to convert many chances, it was Hyderabad who turned up stronger on the day denying any goal to the relentless Mumbai attack.

16/01/21 (ISL : MATCH-60) : MUMBAI CITY FC -- <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> -- HYDERABAD FC

It was an end-to-end battle in the first half, as both the keepers were called into action. First, Laxmikant Kattimani produced a fine save to deny Adam le Fondre. Then, at the other end, Amrinder Singh kept his side alive in the game. Aridane Santana, Joel Chianese and Liston Colaco combined together to initiate the move before Colaco tried his luck from the byline, but his near post effort was well saved by Amrinder.

The Mumbai defense has been exceptional this season and Amrinder was at his best once again to deny Chianese. This was undeniably the best opportunity for Hyderabad to take the lead. Winning the ball in the midfield, Yasir delivered a lobbed through-ball for Chianese to send him one-on-one with the keeper. But the Australian’s shot was blocked by Amrinder.

It was more of a nervous start for Mumbai in the second half. They gave the ball away easily and nearly conceded a goal, when Amrinder, in a bid to clear a back pass, played it straight to Colaco. However, the Hyderabad striker shot wide.

Colaco continued to trouble Mumbai with his pace and shooting range, but it wasn’t enough to get the goal they were looking for. Meanwhile, for Mumbai, they were not at their best in the second session. Lobera’s men were sloppy going forward and wasted too many chances in the final third.

Mumbai had two late opportunities to get the winner. Ahmed Jahouh lobbed the ball in the box for Bartholomew Ogbeche, whose first-time shot landed on the roof. Later, the Moroccan’s stoppage-time free-kick couldn’t get the desired connection from his teammate, as it was easily collected by Kattimani.

MATCH REPORT - ISL : Hyderabad FC piled further misery on NorthEast United, extending the Highlanders' winless run to six games with a thumping 4-2 win in the Hero Indian Super League at the Tilak Maidan Stadium on Friday.

Hyderabad took the lead through goals from Aridane Santana (3') and Joel Chianese (36') before a penalty from Federico Gallego (45') and Benjamin Lambot's strike (45') helped NEUFC draw parity before the break. Hyderabad settled the tie in their favour in the second half through late goals from substitute Liston Colaco (85', 90').

08/01/21 : (ISL : M-51) : NORTH EAST UNITED -- <b><font color=red> 2-4 </b></font> - HYDERABAD FC

The first half was a dramatic and open-ended contest with both sides creating ample chances. The Highlanders fashioned more opportunities and despite a two-goal deficit, fought their way back with two goals late in the opening half. It just took three minutes for Hyderabad to break the deadlock as they scored their fastest goal this season.

Chianese made his way into the box and cut inside, beating two markers before squaring a pass for Santana. The Spaniard poked his shot past NEUFC keeper Subashish Roy Chowdhury to notch his sixth goal of the season.NEUFC soon fashioned a gilt-edged chance to score the equaliser from a free-kick but Idrissa Sylla miscued his header. Federico Gallego’s cross found Sylla at the near post, who got a free header but fired it off target.

Hyderabad soon doubled their tally, pouncing on a defensive lapse from NEUFC as Chianese, creator for the first goal, turned goalscorer. Akash Mishra did well to close down space on the left and find Chianese outside the box. The Australian latched on to the ball and beat three markers before finding the back of the net.

The first half though witnessed a dramatic end as NEUFC clawed their way back with two goals in as many minutes. Ashutosh Mehta first won NEUFC a penalty after being brought down by Halicharan Narzary. Gallego made no mistake and placed his spot-kick straight down the middle.

The equaliser then came after some sloppy play in Hyderabad’s box. After NEUFC had multiple attempts on goal, captain Lambot placed his shot into the net to draw his side level. Both sides continued to test each other after the break with Chowdhury pulling off crucial saves early on in the second half.

The Nizams brought on Colaco after the hour mark and he would go on to have a major influence on the game, notching up a brace. His first goal was sublime. Receiving the ball on the left, the Goan forward beat three markers before curling his shot into the top corner. Colaco then added a second one with a neat finish after being assisted by Santana. The result propelled Hyderabad to third in the Hero ISL table, level on points with FC Goa.

MATCH REPORT - ISL : Hyderabad FC returned to winning ways in the Hero Indian Super League as they registered a thumping 4-1 victory against Chennaiyin FC at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim on Monday.

Joel Chianese (50'), Halicharan Narzary (53', 79') and Joao Victor (74') were on the scoresheet for Hyderabad while Anirudh Thapa (67') scored the only goal for Chennaiyin, who suffered their first-ever defeat against the Nizams. The first half proved to be an entertaining, end-to-end contest with both goalkeepers finding themselves busy. Hyderabad created better chances but were guilty of missing them.

04/01/2021 : (ISL : M-47) : CHENNAIYIN FC -- <b><font color=red> 1 - 4 </b></font> -- HYDERABAD FC

Chennaiyin goalkeeper Vishal Kaith was called into action early in the opening minute. Aridane Santana received a long ball and flicked it towards Chianese, who made a run in the box and fired a shot, but saw his effort blocked by Kaith. Another chance went begging for the Nizams in the 10th minute as Chianese missed a gilt-edged opportunity through a free-kick. Narzary swung a cross towards the far post and Chianese missed an open header after Deepak Tangri failed to clear it away.

Chennaiyin also tested Hyderabad. They had the chance to draw first blood in the 31st minute but Laxmikant Kattimani made a fine save. Lallianzuala Chhangte made his way into the box from the left and cut inside, only to see his shot saved by Kattimani. At the other end, Kaith produced an excellent save in the dying minutes of the first half to keep the scoreline goalless. After parrying away Asish Rai's cross, Kaith denied Chianese at point-blank range. The ball fell to Rai again, whose shot rattled the woodwork.

Hyderabad registered a three-minute double early on in the second half. A mix-up from Chennaiyin's backline gave them the opener. Kaith and Eli Sabia made a mess of a chipped pass from Santana, allowing Chianese to score his maiden Hero ISL goal. Three minutes later, Hyderabad doubled their tally. They won a corner and did well to keep the ball in the box before Rahim Ali's clearance fell towards Nazary. The winger launched a cracking shot that struck the underside of the crossbar before heading into goal.

Chennaiyin reduced their deficit after a blunder from Kattimani who fluffed his lines while attempting to clear Ali's cross into the box, allowing Thapa an easy tap-in. But Hyderabad soon restored their two-goal lead through Victor, who buried his shot into the top corner after receiving a pass from Rai.

Chennaiyin's defense was exposed again as they pushed for a late goal. Substitute Fran Sandaza released Narzary, who made his way from near the half-way line, into the box and produced a neat finish.

30.12.20 : (ISL : M-43) : HYDERABAD FC -- <b><font color=red> 1-2 </b></font> -- FC GOA

Aridane Santana (58') put Hyderabad ahead but Goa left it late and scored through substitute Ishan Pandita (87') and Igor Angulo (90') to inflict a third successive defeat on the Nizams.

Joel Chianese, making a return from injury, was among the three changes made by Hyderabad while Lenny Rodrigues came back in the line-up for Goa. Both teams failed to create clear-cut chances in the first-half, staying defensively organised. As a result, no shots on target were registered. But it was Goa, who appeared more threatening.

They missed the chance to grab the lead in the 10th minute through the first corner of the game. Brandon Fernandes whipped in a teasing cross for James Donachie but the defender failed to get his header on target. Goa fashioned another great chance right before the end of the break. Receiving the ball on the left, Brandon cut inside and flicked the ball for Angulo in the box. The latter tipped his header over the bar.

Hyderabad began the second half aggressively, taking the game to Goa. Their intent soon paid off as they opened the scoring just before the hour mark.

Goa, who have been guilty of conceding from set-pieces, were exposed again. Hyderabad won a throw-in and Asish Rai crossed the ball for Aridane, who headed home from close range to bag his fifth goal of the season. The Gaurs too had their chances and missed a great opportunity to draw parity in the 69th minute. Brandon drilled a cross across the face of goal for Jorge Ortiz Mendoza, who made a run into the box but failed to connect.

Two minutes later, Aridane had the ball in the back of the net, after receiving a ball from Yasir, but was flagged offside. Goa kept knocking on the door but lacked the cutting edge in the final third, failing to register a single shot on target. But Juan Ferrando's men, like they did in the previous game against Jamshedpur, displayed fighting spirit.

The equaliser came through a set-piece as Pandita flicked in Edu Bedia's free-kick at the far post with his first touch of the game. Minutes later, Angulo netted his ninth goal of the season. Substitute Alberto Noguera threaded a ball through for the striker who produced an excellent finish to seal the three points for Goa.

27.12.20 : (ISL : M-40) : KERALA BLASTERS -- <b><font color=red> 2-0 </b></font> -- HYDERABAD FC

Abdul Hakku's header (29') put Kerala ahead in the first half before Jordan Murray (88') sealed three points for Kibu Vicuna's side.

Hyderabad created a few half-chances with Aridane Santana failing to take them. Both sides fought neck-and-neck but Kerala grabbed the opener just before the half-hour mark through a set-piece. They won a corner and Facundo Pereyra whipped an inch-perfect cross for Hakku, who bagged his first ISL goal through a pin-point header.

Hyderabad threw the kitchen sink in the dying minutes but just like the first half, failed to convert their chances. The best opportunity fell to Halicharan Narzary in the 80th minute, but he miscued his shot. Receiving the ball on the left, the winger cut inside looking to find the far corner but saw his effort sail over the bar.

Kerala started on a bright note and had a chance to break the deadlock early on when an error from Asish Rai got Hyderabad in trouble. Sahal pounced on Rai’s poor touch and squared the ball but Odei Onaindia thwarted the danger with a vital tackle.

However, their hopes of making any comeback were swept away when Murray put the game to bed late on. Substitute Adil Khan failed to deal with a cross in the box and it fell to Murray, who made no mistake and placed his shot in the bottom corner.

WE WILL TURN AROUND AGAINST HYDERABAD: PRITAM

9.12.20: After a defeat against Jamshedpur FC in the last match by a margin of 1-2, ATK Mohun Bagan are desperate to come back in their winning run against Hyderabad FC on 11th of December. ATK Mohun Bagan had a dream start when they registered a win in consecutive three matches in the seventh of Indian Super League.

The important footballers of ATK Mohun Bagan squad Tiri, Edu Garcia and Pritam Kotal shared their views with the club media.

PRITAM KOTAL :“Every team has a bad day. Lots of mistakes are made unknowingly. The day of the Jamshedpur match was just not ours. They got two opportunities and made use of those. We also got chances to score. But we failed to use it. The team did not lose just for the defence. It was everyone's failure. Football is a team game. If we win then it is everyone's achievement. If we lose, it is a failure for all of us. But it is temporary. We are thinking about the next match against Hyderabad now. We all have the belief that we will turn around in that match by correcting our mistakes. The coach is making a strategy in the same way. We are discussing mistakes among ourselves as well.

EDU GRACIA: "In the match against Jamshedpur, we gave them chances to hit a lot of corners and free kicks. Both goals have been scored from the set pieces. We have to correct our mistakes in Fridays Hyderabad match. They also have some good footballers in their team. But the challenge is to turn around and return to the path of victory. We have to get three points from this match. We will play with that confidence. All the matches in ISL are tough. We give equal importance to every team.”

TIRI: “Jamshedpur is quite efficient in scoring goals in the set pieces, especially of high balls. They have used it well. We also did miss passes and a lot of fouls. We wasted the chance to score. Now it is time to think about the match against Hyderabad. This team is also quite skilled in set pieces. Getting goals. The aim of our defence will not to fail when the ball of the set piece kick comes flying and to resist that attack properly. No magic can stop it. We have to correct our mistakes by practicing more. That effort is ongoing.”

REPORT - ISL : Stephen Eze salvaged a point for Jamshedpur FC with an 85th-minute strike to help his side hold Hyderabad FC to a 1-1 draw in their Hero Indian Super League Season 7 match at Tilak Maidan, on Wednesday. Aridane Santana scored his second goal of the campaign to give Hyderabad a 55th-minute lead. The Nizams remain unbeaten in the competition while JFC are yet to taste victory.

Mohammed Yasir and Hitesh Sharma were back for Hyderabad, with Liston Colaco also handed a first start. Laximikant Kattimani came in for Subrata Paul. Owen Coyle made two changes to the side which was held by Odisha FC and preferred Amarjit Singh over Issac Vanmalsawma in midfield. With TP Rehenesh serving his one-match suspension, Pawan Kumar featured in the Jamshedpur goal.

02/12/2020 : (ISL: M-14) HYDERABAD FC <b><font color=red> 1-1 </b></font> JAMSHEDPUR FC

It took less than five minutes for Hyderabad to launch their first attack. Quick passing from the Nizams allowed them to venture deep into Jamshedpur territory but Akash Mishra’s final delivery in to the box failed to find Liston Colaco. Jamshedpur dominated play in the first quarter. Nerijus Valskis and Alexandre De Lima kept the home defence on their toes with constant raids.

For Hyderabad, young Liston showed maturity beyond his age, supporting the defence while not neglecting his attacking duties. He nearly got his name on the scoresheet when his 12th-minute free-kick beat the wall but failed to find the goal.

Hyderabad were unlucky to have been denied by the post just before the breather. After getting hold of his marker, Santana found Halicharan Narzary, who dribbled past Laldinliana Renthlei. Having done everything right, Narzary was frustrated as his narrow-angled shot came off the far post.

Hyderabad were ahead five minutes after the restart with Santana scoring off a rebound. Narzary danced his way past Renthlei and pulled the trigger. Goalkeeper Kumar only succeeded in diverting it into the path of Santana, who rolled the ball into the net. With less than 20 minutes left, JFC thought they had scored, only for it to be disallowed by the referee. But their efforts finally paid off in the 85th minute when Eze fired home from inside the box. Chinglensana Singh’s clearance off a Nerijus Valskis cross fell to William Lalnunfela who laid the ball for Eze. The Nigerian made no mistake with his powerful shot.

Hyderabad FC and Bengaluru FC played out a drab draw in their Hero Indian Super League Season 7 encounter at the Fatorda Stadium, on Saturday. The Nizams recorded their second successive clean sheet, grabbing four points in two outings — their best start in the league. However, it was a frustrating evening for Bengaluru FC, who are yet to taste a win this season.

28.11.2020 : (ISL: M-9) : BENGALURU FC -- ( <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> ) -- HYDERABAD FC

While Carles Cuadrat fielded an unchanged eleven from their 2-2 draw against FC Goa, Hyderabad coach Manuel Marquez made two changes to his line-up from the win against Odisha. Chinglensana Singh and Joel Chianese came in for Hitesh Sharma and Mohammed Yasir. The sides showed attacking intent from the word go and BFC had their first attempt as early as the fifth minute. Ashique Kuruniyan tried his luck from a distance but his effort took a deflection before being collected by Subrata Paul. This turned out to be the only attempt at goal in the first session.

28.11.2020 : (ISL: M-9) : BENGALURU FC -- ( <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> ) -- HYDERABAD FC

The Nizams’ adamant defending frustrated Bengaluru, who struggled to take the ball up to their attacking trio of Sunil Chhetri, Kristian Opseth and Udanta Singh. Trying to find an alternative, Bengaluru engaged in long-range shots, which proved futile. Going forward, Hyderabad were the better side in the first half. The men in yellow nearly took the lead in the 25th minute from a Lluis Sastre set-piece. Bengaluru keeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu denied Aridane Santana’s header with a full-stretch save to keep the scores level.

Hyderabad pushed Bengaluru deep in their territory with Halicharan Narzary, Joel Chianese and Santana making regular inroads. However, the visitors suffered a blow before the break as their foreigners – Chianese and Sastre limped off the pitch with Yasir and Sharma replacing the duo.

28.11.2020 : (ISL: M-9) : BENGALURU FC -- ( <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> ) -- HYDERABAD FC

Despite making a half-time change, replacing Kristian Opseth with Dimas Delgado, Bengaluru had nothing different to offer as their opponents continued to dominate the play.

28.11.2020 : (ISL: M-9) : BENGALURU FC -- ( <b><font color=red> 0-0 </b></font> ) -- HYDERABAD FC

Santana’s struggle continued as he missed a great opportunity to put his side ahead in the 55th minute. After dribbling past the Bengaluru defence, the Spaniard's shot was way off target. With some fine defending from either side, frustration was clearly visible on the pitch. Both sides repeatedly tried to find the net from distance with the attempts being either blocked or going way off target.
