31st All India sikkim Governor's Gold Cup 2009

05.09.2009 :The 31st All India Governor's Gold Cup football tournament is
slated to be held in Sikkim from September 5th to 22th, announced the organizers,
Sikkim Football Association (SFA).The Paljor stadium in Gangtok where the
Tournament will start with twenty teams, including Convenant Sporting Club from
Nigeria, Three Star from Nepal and Bhutan XI. The
tournament is being organized by the Sikkim Football Association.
The tournament is organized by the Sikkim Football Association (SFA) the apex body of all the football organizations in Sikkim with the support from the state government and other organizations. All the matches are played at the Palzor Stadium . Three Star Nepal had won the last year's Tournament. Sikkim Police XI, Bengal Nagpur Railway , Tata Football Academy, Mumbai United FC, Sports Academy of Sikkim, D’zongri Club, Dehradun XI, Faria Strikers (GOA), George Telegraph, Three Star (Nepal), Sikkim United Club, Royal Rangers (Delhi), Punjab Police, Chirag United, Denzong Boys, SSB XI, Eastern Railways, Bhutan XI, Calcutta Port Trust and Covenant FC (Lagos) are participating in the championship this year.
