02.09.2017: PRESS RELEASE MFA : The Mizoram Football Association Futsal Committee has successfully organised a Futsal Referee Workshop at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Aizawl this afternoon (September 2, 2017)

Referees Lalthangliana and Lalhriatliana, who both attended the recently conducted AFC Futsal Workshop in New Delhi and MFA Technical Officer Danny Lalduhawma gave comprehensive lectures on Futsal and Futsal rules in the workshop.

The workshop was attended by 74 people representing the 34 newly affiliated Futsal Clubs under the MFA. They were given in depth explanation of FIFA Futsal rules, which were followed by practical sessions.

The AIFF is organising an AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching Course in November this year in Mizoram. The MFA also has plans to implement Futsal on large scale in the state.

It will conduct a playoff competition from the 19th of this month to determine who will play in the MFA Futsal League. And the newly formed MFA Futsal League will kick off from January next year.

"Futsal is going to be implemented according to the map of the AIFF. And it is with their good favour that we are now hoping to have the first ever Futsal Coaching Course in India in November. We are determind to be at the forefront in the implementation anf growth of Futsal in India." said Mr. Lalnghinglova Hmar, Honorary Secretary of the Mizoram Football Association.

26.08.2017: PRESS RELEASE MFA : Reliance Sports GM Chirag Tanna kicks off Mizoram Premier League season 6. The 6th edition of the Mizoram Premier League was kicked off at Chanmari YMA Hall Friday night (25th August) by Reliance Sports General Manager Mr. Chirag Tanna.

The league will officialliy be known as Mc Dowell's No.1 Soda Mizoram Premier League Season 6 powered by Active Pixel. Mr. Lal Thanzara, President of the Mizoram Football Association welcomed the concourse and spoke of the tremendous impact the Mizoram Premier League has had on Mizoram Football in just five seasons.

He also thanked the sponsors for providing a ample backing to the league and also thanked the goverment for ensuring the development of infrastructures all through the state.The MPL Handbook and the MPL Registration Booklet were also released during the programme. The Registration Booklet now offers well-documented details of the playing and non-playing personnel of all Mizoram Premier League clubs.

The official kits of the 8 MPL clubs these season were also displayed by club models. The captains of each teams took an oath on behalf of the team they represented. The chief guest, Mr. Tanna then addressed the gathering, singing praise for the MFA and it's partners and all who have contributed so much to the recent successes of Mizoram in football.

He also spoke of him not being a total stranger to football in Mizoram and recalled the moments when he signed then promising youngters Jeje Lalpekhlua and Lalrozama Fanai for Pune FC. The kickoff programme was attended by the members of the MFA as well the the District FA. Media personnel and invitees were also present.Club owners, all the non-playing staff and players were also in attendence.
