REPORT: Kalna Independence Cup 2009 invitational football Tournament has started .Kalna Super Soccer Club is the organisar of this Tournament. In the opening day Kolkata Premier League two teams Camellia George Telegraph and Peerless Sports Club met where Camellia George Telegraph won the match after sudden Death.

In the 9th minutes of the match Peerless Striker Charles scored first but George equalised the goal at 40th minutes through their U-19 footballer Mithun Saha. More than five to six thousands fans observed the match in the stadium today.

George Telegraph will meet in the 2nd Semi Final against I-League team Chirag United on 23rd August.

Report : Mohammedan Sporting reached in the Final of Kalna Independence Cup 2009. They beat another Kolkata Premier League Team Jain tolygunje Agragami 2 - 1 today. They will Face the winner of another Semi Final between Kolkata Premier League Teams Chirag United and Camellia George Telegraph.

Mohammedan played a better game after 2nd half when Coach Sabbir Ali replaced Zoheb by experienced Sasthi Dulay..First half was goalless.

In the 68th minutes of the match, Mohammedan scored first through their striker Dipendu Biswas's powerful header when Jyothi kumar crossed a ball from left flank . Mohammedan scored an another in 73rd minutes through Nilendu. His powerful left footer went straight to the Goal of Tollygunge after getting a ball from Midfield.

Tollygunje reduced their margin in 82nd minutes through Barun Mondol.

Kolkata Giant Mohammedan Sporting srtarts their new season campaign by winning.Today they beat another I-League Ist Division Team from Kolkata Chirag United 4 - 2 in tie breaker in Kalna.the Final of Kalna Independence Cup 2009.

Today Mohammedan took the lead oin 20th minute when they got a free kick near the Chirag Box. Experienced Footballer Satyajit Bose scored from the kick beating Ex-India and Mahindra United Goal keeper of Chirag United Sandip Nandy.In the First half Mohammedan was leading by 1 - 0 .

In the 2nd half Chirag Coach Subrata Bhattacharyya got the positive result when he put Ex East Bengal footballer Parveen Kumar in the place of Malswamma Hmar..Chirag Equalised in the 58th minutes through substitute Parveen Kumar.Chirag was dominationg the match in the 2nd half half but missed some opportunities to lead.The match ended 1 - 1 in the schedule time.

In direct Tie Breaker to point out the winner Mohammedan won the match 4 - 2. Dipendu Biswas, Rajeeb Ghosh, Babin Biswas, Bapi Chowdhury scored for Mohammedan.Parveen Kumar and Brazilian footballer of Chirag United Joshimar scored while Abhiskek Aich and Denson Debdas missed the target.

In this Tournament Arnob Mondol of Chirag united was declared Man of the Tournament.Satyajit Bose was adjudged Man of the Match. Fair play trophy went to the organizing Team Kalna Super Soccer Club.

The member of Kalna Super Soccer club Mr. Sougata Sarkar told that Ex Indian International Footballer Samaresh Chowdhury, Biswajit Bhattacharyya and Olympian Nikhil Nandy were present in the final to observe the game as Guest.
