Minerva Punjab FC Sign Japanese midfielder Toshiya Hosoe
PART- 73 (I-League L) 24.09.2017: MPFC PRESS RELEASE : As India's Premier Football Tournament, Hero I-League set to return in action from early November, Northern powerhouse Minerva Punjab FC who remain the sole participants from the entire North India are leaving no stone unturned to make a mark in their second appearence in the Top Flight. After having signed some impressive local talents who have represented India National Teams in various age groups.
With AIFF granting 6 foreigners in this edition of the I-League of which the clubs can field maximum five foreign players in a match out of which minimum one player has to be from an AFC Member Association, Minerva Punjab FC hence roped in Maldives Dhivehi Premier League Champions Maziya Sports and Recreation Club Japanese midfielder Toshiya Hosoe.
26 Year Old, Toshiya Hosoe started his career in 2008 at Chukyo University, Japan. He went on to join Victoria based Port Melbourne Sharks SC, Australia in 2011 who play in The National Premier League of Victoria. He was soon snapped up by Philippines Football League regulars Kaya FC–Makati in the following season to bloster their midfield but his stay was cut short to only one season as Maldives heavyweights Maziya Sports and Recreation Club came knocking for the fierce midfielder as he helped them win Dhivehi Premier League 2016 for the first time in the clubs 21 year history. He also represented the Maldivian based outfit in the AFC Cup Competation as he started in all 6 games for the Green Boys playing a total of 496 minutes.
With experience of having played in different countrys in various conditions the Japanese playmaker is tipped to change the complete attacking force of Minerva Punjab FC as he would leave no stone turned in making a mark at his first ever season on Indian soil.
AIFF Welcomes Sree Gokulam Group In Hero I-League 2017-18
20.09.2017: AIFF PRESS RELEASE : AIFF Bid Evaluation Committee met at the AIFF HQ in New Delhi today (September 20, 2017) to evaluate the bids submitted after the tendering process was initiated on August 18, 2017.
From the bids submitted, the Bid Evaluation Committee decided to award Sree Gokulam Group the right to field their team in the Hero I-League 2017-18 season onward.

The team will be playing their home matches out of Calicut, Kerala.
Mr. Das added, “I hope the club would be able to ignite the passion of Kerala football in Calicut where they will be playing from.”

Chennaiyin FC sign ISL winning defensive duo Mailson and Sereno
PART- 72 (ISL) CFC Press Release : 15.09.2017 : Chennaiyin FC is delighted to announce the signing of Indian Super League winning defensive duo Mailson Alves and Henrique Sereno. Both central defenders sign for the 2015 ISL champions on free transfers with Brazilian Mailson joining after the end of his contract at Brazilian third tier outfit Volta Redonda while Portuguse Sereno has signed after a short spell with Spanish second tier outfit Almeria.
Mailson returns to the club having won the title in 2015 when he made 12 appearances. Sereno lifted the ISL trophy with Atletico de Kolkata last season and also scored in the final besides being adjudged the Hero of the match.
29-year-old Mailson made nine appearances for NorthEast United in the 2016 ISL and then went on to join Volta Redonda in January 2017. He made 22 appearances for Volta this year before returning to Chennaiyin FC for a second spell.
32-year-old Sereno has played twice for the Portuguese senior national team and won the Portuguese league and cup double with giants FC Porto in 2010-11. He has also had spells in the top tiers of Spain (Real Valladolid), Germany (FC Koln & Mainz) and Turkey (Kayserispor).
In last season’s ISL Sereno made 10 appearances for ATK with his only goal being the equaliser in the final which ATK went on to win after a penalty shootout against Kerala Blasters.
ATK bolsters striking front; signs Finnish player Njazi Kuqi
PART- 71 (ISL) : 12.09.2017 : Two-time ISL Champions, ATK announced today the signing of Finnish striker Njazi Kuqi, who has started his career as a footballer with FC Lahti and played for clubs like Birmingham City, TuS Koblenz, TPS Turku.
This 34-year old striker will be joining the red and white squad for the upcoming season of Indian Super League 2017. He has played friendlies with Kuwait for Finland. Before signing for ATK he was with FC Inter Turku.

Chennaiyin FC sign Dutch winger Gregory Nelson
PART- 70 (ISL) : 12.09.2017 : Chennaiyin FC is delighted to announce the signing of Dutch winger Gregory Nelson for the 2017-18 season of the Hero Indian Super League. The 29-year-old joins the 2015 ISL champions on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract at Bahrain outfit Al Muharraq.
A product of the AZ Alkmaar youth system, Nelson represented Netherlands at U-17, U-18 and U-19 levels. Having made his professional debut at the age of 18 for Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivise, Nelson was then loaned to RBC Roosendaal in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.
After one season, Nelson’s loan move at Roosendaal became permanent. He then joined Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia where he spent 18 months, played in the UEFA Europa League and won the Bulgarian domestic cup.
Nelson signed for Ukrainian giants Metalurh Donetsk in January 2012 and reached the final of the Ukraine domestic cup also. He spent three and a half seasons in Ukraine and featured for Metalurh also in the Europa League.
Nelson returned to the Bulgarian top division in 2015 when he joined Botev Plovdiv and spent one season there, scoring four goals in 14 domestic league starts. In January 2017, Nelson signed for Bahrain powerhouse Al Muharraq and finished runners-up in the Bahrain King’s Cup. Nelson scored on his AFC Cup debut for Muharraq and featured in all six of their group stage games.
ATK signs Manchester United academy graduate, central defender Tom Thorpe
PART- 69 (ISL) : 11.09.2017 : Two-time ISL Champions, ATK announced the signing of former Manchester United academy graduate Thomas Joseph Thorpe better known as “Tom” for the upcoming season of Indian Super League 2017. The 24-year-old defender will be joining the red and white brigade to bolster the defence.
Thorpe has represented the England National team at all levels from under 16 to under 21, winning 2010 UEFA European Under 17 Championship. His performance helped Manchester United to earn the best defensive record in the team, which attracted the attention of Birmingham City got him to sign the loan deal. He has last played for Bolton before signing for ATK in India.
ATK sign Spanish footballer Jordi Figueras Montel
PART- 68 (ISL) : 09.09.2017 : The two time ISL champions ATK, announced today the signing of Spanish footballer Jordi Figueras Montel, who has played as a central defender for La Liga clubs like Celta, Real Betis, Real Valladolid. Fondly known as Jordi, besides playing in first and second division Spanish Clubs, he has also played in top tier Spanish league like Copa del Rey, and Russian premier division league Premier Liga, Turkish Super Lig.
Jordi also played for Club Brugge KV from the Belgian PRO League which featured in the UEFA Europa League and German association football club Karlsruher SC in his career besides other clubs. The addition of Jordi will reinforce the defence of ATK for the upcoming season of Indian Super League 2017
Chennaiyin FC sign Nigerian forward Jude Nworuh
PART- 67 (ISL) : 06.09.2017 : Chennaiyin FC is delighted to announce the signing of Nigerian forward Jude Ikechukwu Nworuh for the 2017-18 season of the Hero Indian Super League. The 28-year-old joins the 2015 ISL champions on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract at Finnish outfit FC Ilves.
After coming through the youth ranks at Nigerian club FC Ebedei, Jude signed for Danish top tier outfit FC Midtjylland as a teenager. Jude spent five seasons there, finishing runners-up in the domestic league and cup. He also featured for FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League.
During his stint with FC Midtjylland, Jude also spent the majority of the 2010-11 season on loan at Danish second tier outfit FC Fredericia. The Nigerian scored 14 league goals for FC Fredericia that season.
In 2012 Jude moved to Danish second tier outfit AC Horsens and spent two and a half seasons there, scoring 16 league goals. In 2015 Jude moved to Bnei Yehuda in the Israel top tier and scored seven goals in 16 starts. The 2016-17 campaign saw Jude having short stints at Israel’s Bnei Sakhnin and then Ilves in Finland.
Chennaiyin FC head coach John Gregory said, “Jude is a forward with immense pace who can finish and also create chances. He had a great career in Denmark and is highly rated in Israel football, a market I know very well. He has all the attributes to succeed in the ISL and help us achieve our target of winning back the title.”
ATK signs attacking English midfielder Carl Baker
PART- 66 (ISL) : 04.09.2017 : The two time ISL champions ATK announced today the signing of 34 YEARS OLD English footballer Carl Paul Baker, who plays as a winger or as an attacking midfielder for Portsmouth. Having made over 450 professional career appearances in the Football League and The National League in England, Baker will bolster the midfield operations for the new look ATK side for the forthcoming season of Indian Super League 2017. A product of the Liverpool Academy, Baker is also a prolific scorer, having netted the ball 97 times in his career so far.
Carl Baker is a wide midfield player who joined Coventry City from Stockport in the January 2010 transfer window after scoring prolifically for the Cheshire club. His close control and dribbling have made him a useful player in the Sky Blues midfield.
Blues Complete Overseas Quota, Spanish Winger Pens One-Year Deal
PART- 65 (ISL) : 03.09.2017 : BFC Press RELEASE :Bengaluru FC sign Eduardo Garcia; finalize squad for Indian Super League and completed their quota of foreign signings and finalized their squad for the upcoming season with the addition of Spanish winger Eduardo 'Edu' Garcia Martin, the club announced on Saturday. Having penned a one-year deal, Edu becomes the eighth overseas player and the fifth Spaniard in the squad for the Blues’ maiden season in the Indian Super League.
Twenty-seven-year-old Edu, who joins the Blues from Spanish side Real Zaragoza, shared his excitement ahead of his first overseas stint, “I'm very excited for joining the club. From the first time, I liked the idea of playing for Bengaluru's team in the Indian Super League. Football in India is growing a lot and it's an important challenge for me. I hope I can help the club to reach the objectives for the season. I can't wait to start!”
Born in Zaragoza, Edu joined his home side Real Zaragoza's youth setup in 2002, aged 12. He progressed through the ranks at the club before making his debut with the reserves during the 2009–10 campaign, in Tercera Division.
In 2012, Edu joined CD Ebro before moving to fellow league team SD Ejea the following season. In July 2014, he returned to Ebro and scored career-best 16 goals during his first season, helping his team gain promotion to Segunda Division B, before adding a further eight in his second season.
Jamshedpur FC signs Senegalese striker Talla N’diaye

Talla becomes the seventh foreign signing for Jamshedpur after Moura, Tiri, Doutie, Belfort ,Bikey and Trindade.
The 31 year old, has been playing his trait with various French clubs such as Fontenay-Foot-Vendee, Aurillac FC Auv, FC Challans, etc. He has also had an experience in playing the Lebanese Premier League with Safa Beirut SC and has netted 5 goals in 20 appearances.
Talla was buzzing with excitement and said, “‘I can’t express my feeling in joining Jamshedpur FC. I wanted to play in India since a long time and finally the opportunity presented itself and I couldn’t say no to it. Trindade becomes the sixth foreign signing for Jamshedpur after Memo, Tiri, Doutie, Belfort and Bikey.
The 21 year old started his career at the youth academy of Flamengo before joining FC Goa on loan last season for the ISL. Trindade was buzzing with excitement and said, "'I am elated to join Jamshedpur FC. Coming from the Flamengo academy I feel at home with Jamshedpur FC and TFA am looking forward to start working with our head coach Steve Coppell for whom I have immense respect as a footballer and a coach. I am sure he will make a difference i n my overall game and I am eager to learn a lot from hi m. With my experience in the ISL last year, I hope to add on to the team success."
