In Indian Football, foreigners rule over the years but there is only one foreigner who established him as an Indian, more specifically as a “Mohunbagani”. He is none other than “the God” of Green and Maroon fanatics all over the globe, Jose Ramirez Barreto.
On 17th December, 1999 he came to the city of joy from the country of Samba. He did not know a single English letter then. But he knows the language of Football and the beauty of this game transformed his heart in Green and Maroon color. Exactly after a month of his arrival he scored his first goal in Green and Maroon color. On 17th January, 2000 he scored the winning goal for Mohun Bagan at the dying seconds of the match against Dempo in N.F.L. Since then he served the National Club of India for almost the entire decade. Even in his last match two days back, he scored two goals and got the Man of the Match award. In the mean time he scored 207 goals in Mohun Bagan color and still he is going on. To the Green and Maroon fans all over the globe he is the “Jisu”. With supporters love and respect he is now a proud resident of this great city. His wife Veronica, two daughters Natalia and Ishabola and his child son Joa are his part of his life apart from the Mohun Bagan supporters. And if you ask any Mohun Bagan fans about this great Brazilian, they will tell only one thing, “In Barreto We Trust”.
Today Sabuj Maroon Swapno has celebrated the 34th birthday with great endeavor at Mohun Bagan club lawn after morning practice session. A flower bouquet, a special cake signifying the 34th birthday of Barreto along with a special memento, the portrait of Barreto in sketch was the part of the celebration. Sabuj Maroon Swapno today has also honored by welcoming him as the Honorary Lifetime Membership of the Fans club. But the main part of the programme arrived when Barreto handed over some gifts on behalf of Sabuj Maroon Swapno to the 48 orphans who came from Rotary Club, Cossipore, the oldest Rotary Club of Kolkata and West Bengal. Each of them was gifted with a set of school bag, color pencil, pen, books, exercise books and new clothes for the coming Durga puja were also handed over to them. This was a noble effort from Sabuj Maroon Swapno in association with Rotary Club, Cossipore. During the celebration time, along with Barreto; Muritala, Diamondstar, captain Ishfaq, coach Stanley Rosario along with club officials were also present. Barreto was really happy with this kind of gesture and told that “It is one of the best ever birthday celebration in my life. Thanks to all the Mohun Bagan supporters for their so much support and love for me.”

The sharply divisive instrument will be banned from European games. Vuvuzelas have been banned from all Uefa-sanctioned games such as Euro 2012 qualifiers and Champions League games.
The horns were popular at the World Cup in South Africa but critics say they drowned out fan singing and atmosphere. The move was taken "for reasons related to Europe's football culture and tradition," said a Uefa statement."Uefa feels that instrument's use would not be appropriate in Europe where a continuous loud background noise would be emphasised." European football's governing body said that "in the specific context of South Africa, the vuvuzela adds a touch of local flavour and folklore," but it then went on to make it clear they felt they were out of place at European games. "The magic of football consists of the two-way exchange of emotions between the pitch and the stands, where the public can transmit a full range of feelings to the players."Uefa is of the view that the vuvuzelas would completely change the atmosphere, drowning supporter emotions and detracting from the experience of the game." Several football teams in England and also other sporting events and musical festivals had already banned the instruments, while some others left it up to fans to decide, but Uefa is the first major footballing body to impose a ban on its members.
