The fixtures for the 32nd Federation Cup preliminary qualifying knock-out round
have been released y AIFF today. Silchor Assam will be Venue of Group A matches
while Group B matches will be played at Duler, Mapusa (Goa).
Kolkata team Mohammedan Sporting will play against Oil India of 15th September. The winner from each group will qualify for the quarterfinal round scheduled to be held from September 21. Tottenham Hotspur is delighted to announce a renewed sponsorship agreement with Team India at the 8th Rio 2010 Homeless World Cup.
Team India is organized by Krida Vikas Sanstha (KVSN) working with over 10,000 people through their slum soccer programme.The partnership with them will see the English Premier League Club fund the Indian team during the forthcoming competition in Rio, Brazil, taking place from 19-26 September 2010. The defending champions UST Global ‘A’ faced stiff competition from a determined
RR Donnelly team in their first match in the quarter final league. In more of a physical game referees had a tough time separating the players who were going after each other. Hosts won with a margin 2 -0, courtesy a penalty from Najeev Nambiar and a back heel from Prabhudas. In the second game UST Global in a attacking mode, made a comfortable win( 7-0) against Lino Computers. The goals from Prabhudas ,Najeev ,Abdurahiman ,Rakesh and Anoop Valluvaveedu confirmed the semi final spot for UST Global team with one game to spare in the quarter final league.
In their first match, Infosys A registered a comfortable win against the Lino Computers with a score line of 3-0. The match between RR Donnelly and Infosys witnessed some of the finest moments of Goal’10 where RR Donnelly was trying to take its run to the semi finals for the first time. However the lack of quality finishing denied them a chance. Praveen and his men played brilliantly to keep Infy under control till the last minute. A last minute volley from their center back confirmed a semi final spot for Infosys A. In Group B, the M-Squared team was able to secure a goal less draw against an in form Nest Team. UST Global B was out classed by the mighty Tata Elxsi team. Even though the winners missed a penalty in the first half they were able to comfortably secure a 1-0 win. Ratheesh was the scorer for Tata Elxsi Team. By keeping the group more complex, Nest defeated Tata Elxsi in its second game through a late blinder from Ratheesh. UST Global B team came up as phoenix in the second game against M-Squared and beating them convincingly on a score line of 3-0. The goals from Ajay, Nabeel and Bipin extends the team’s semi final hope to the result of their last league match against Nest. As the quarter final group league is going to be over by September 04th, we are expecting more tough competitions as UST Global A take Infosys and the 4 teams still aiming for a semi final spot in Group B.

Winning start of last year CFL Premier Runners-up Chirag United in this year CFL
Premier League also. After winning the Kalna Independent Cup just two days ago,
today was the first match of Chirag United in Sahara CFL Premier League 2010
against Railway FC at Barasat Stadium.
Chirag United beat Railway FC 2 - 0 to gain full three points. Branco Kordozo who came from Mohun Bagan this year in Chirag United score the first and Elija Jr.who came from Sporting Goa opened their account in Kolkata League. Railway FC fight well though out the match and opened some chances to score but missed. The easiest chance they missed in 15th minutes of the match, when their right out Mrinmoy Samanta well crossed from right flank and Chirag Defender Chika Wali was unable to block upcoming Biplab Naskar whose header from a close well saved by Chirag Keeper Somnath. In the next minute Chirag scored the first goal through Branco (1 - 0). Elija jr. missed a positive chance to score in 28th minute in a one to one situation after getting a ball from Gouranga Biswas but Railway FC keeper was alert to save the movement of Elija.
In 38th minutes of the Match, Chirag doubled their lead through Nigerian striker Elija Jr. when Branco crossed the ball from right and elija's brillint header beat Railway FC keeper Soumen Mondol. The result at the end of first half in favor of Chirag United 2 - 0. In the 2nd half Chirag and Railway FC got some open chances but couldn't capitalised that. In 80 minutes Jerry Zirsanga of Chirag lost an open net while Somnath Khara saved a nice free kick of Railway FC's Palash Karmakar after five minutes. Bagan's another two players Rakesh Masih and Surkumar Singh who are currently with Indian National Team will sign later.

As per AIFF guidlines Bagalolre District Football Association will organise the U-14 School Tournament involving mximium schools to initiate the finding out the gross root level players for the forthcoming 33rd sub- Junior National champioship for Coca Cola Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy 2010-11. Qualified and experienced ex- Footballers will spot the talented Boys from the Tournament to make the team for Mir Iqbal Trophy. The said tournament will be started on 20th September.
The above Tournament will also take place Mysore Dist, Mangalore Dist & Hubli Dist. Shri.A.R.Khaleel,President .KSFA recently held metting with the all four District representives high lighted the AIFF guidlines to find out the gross root level budding players for state and national team for further. Chikka Chenniah - Hony Deputy Secretary of BDFA told us that, the main aim and objectives of BDFA is to lift this opportunities to find out and give wide opportunities to the all over the Bangalore as well as other Districts to a good budding players to represent state team in forthcoming days .
