FIFA said in a statement that it had learnt that `"the Iraqi Olympic Committee announced the dissolution of the governing board of the IFA (Iraqi Football Association). It means if the decision to dissolute IFA is not cancelled within 72 hours (starting 16 November), and if the IFA Headquarters are not returned to the IFA within the same deadline, FIFA will have no choice but to refer the issue to the FIFA Emergency Committee in order to decide on a possible IFA suspension. The International Olympic Committee had also suspended Iraq's National Olympic Committee from international competition. But that row was also resolved shortly before the 2008 Beijing Olympics. KFDC : Sir, what is the status of the match? Because of yesterday's heavy rain, will it be held on schedule or there is any news of postponement?
Ashok Kumar : Yes, because of yesterday's heavy rainfall, the field is terribilly affected. There were water spots in various spots as the dranage system was not working, but as the rain stopped since yesterday afternoon and today there was bright sunshine, we engaged lots of people in damage control. The AIFF match commissioner has visited the ground three to four times today & he is quite satisfied with the present condition of the ground. If there is no rainfall tomorrow too, the match will be on schedule. KFDC : We noticed there are so many patches in the ground which were managed with sand & dust. So how is the condition of those patches after the rain? Because after the rainfall & bright sunshine those patches should be stiff, which can increase injuries? Ashok Kumar : We had only 45 days to prepare the ground before this I-League. So the field is not in good condition. After we get some time to grow the grasses, then we will be able to gift a nice field for football. Those patches are treated well. Before match it will be in condition for a good game. KFDC : Is there any schedule for practice today for either team? Ashok Kumar : We are in damage control of the ground now. So we could not allow any team to practice there. Though Mohunbagan wished to practice there today, but unfortunately we could not help, as we want to organize the game smoothly tomorrow. They have practiced in the Pune Vidyapeeth ground. KFDC : What about Subrata Paul? He was also injured in the last game. Is he playing tomorrow? Ashok Kumar : Yeah. He was injured. But now he is much fit. We hope he will play. But the final decision will be taken by coach. KFDC : Ok Sir. Thank you for your kindness & all the best for tomorrows game. Ashok Kumar : Thank you. KFDC : Thank you sir. It's a pleasure to talk to you. Good night.
