The
Govorning body of Bengal Football - The Indian football Association shortly
called "IFA" has organised their annual prize distribution ceremony
for the year' 2005 on 9th February 2007 at the heart of the city "UTTAM
MANCH".
Due
to some unavoidable circumstances,the award distribution ceremony of IFA took
place this year, after a one year gap, which should have been arranged last year
actually.
Very
simple but colourful crowded ceremony started just 6.30 pm sharp through an
introduction of the "History of commencing Football in the World" and
"Birth of IFA in the year 1892" given by famous Sports Journalist
Jayanta Chakrabarty, whose role was as an anchor on behalf of IFA on that
evening.With a brief statistical speech,he explained about those subject to to
the audience.
Eminent
Ex-Indian National Football Players like Bodru Banerjee,Kanai Sarkar,Prabir
Mazumder,Prasanta Banerjee,Sibaji Banerjee,Pradip Chowdhury,Alok
Mukherjee,Monojit Das and many more sitting in the VIP Zone of the auditoriam
were spelt bound and clapped after listening to the past glory of Kolkata
Football through excellent speech of Jayanta Chakrabarty.
The
Winners and Runners of IFA registered Club Teams representatives from Nursery to
Premier(Men and women)Division Football League of 2005 season were waiting to
collect the scheduled Cheque amount and Trophy from IFA.
But
one thing was unexpected from Mohammedan Sporting Club,one of the big three
clubs of Kolkata Football who was fully absent in that ceremony,while the other
two Giants Team K.F.East Bengal and Mohunbagan A.C sent their representative
Swapan Bal(Manager)and Debasish Dutta(Treasurer)respectively to collect the
prizes.
"SMART
RELEANCE GSM SERVICE" the sponsorer of the evening also made an arrangement
of Bengali Song for the audience.Mou Das and Pallav Ghosh sang some of Bengali
Songs during break of the programme.
Fifa
Referee Udyan Halder and Pradip Mukherjee were also awarded by IFA.The Schedule
Cheque and Trophy were handed over to the representatives of Winners and Runners
Team through the eminent football personalities at the Podium.
