Author of the Acclaimed Twenty - Two Yards to Freedom :A Social History of Indian Cricket (Penguin 2004),He is also visiting Lecturer at the University of Chicago and a Fellow of the International Olympic Museumat Lausanne, Switzerland.a well - known media figure, he has done Television Programmes for Ten Sports,ESPN,NDTV,Headlines Today and Channel 7 and written extensively for the Times of India, Outlook,Wisden and Anandabazar Patrika.
Kausik Bandyopadhyay:
Teaches History at North Bengal university and is currently completing his Doctorate on theSocial History of Bengali Football at the university of Calcutta.Associate Editor of the Journal Soccer and Society,he has written extensively for "KICK-OFF" the Magazine of the Indian Football Association and Anandabazar Patrika.
