01.08.2012: Today after the match Trophy, Mementos and Cash Prize Distributed by Shri Appuchu Ranjan, Youth Sports Minister of Karnataka Shri. A.R.Khaleel, President, KSFA and Vice President, AIFF and Sri E Krishnanarayana, Hon. Gen. Secretary, KSFA.

Winner team DYSS got Rs. 30000/- and Runners-up RWF got Rs. 20000/- as Prize Money for the League Tournament.

Best Player award went to Sujith of ISRO, Best Up Coming Player was Edwin of DYSS and the League of 'A' Division Top Scorer went to Umashankar of RBI.

In the League Table Top 2 Teams are DYSS and RWF. Promoted to 'Super' Div. to next year for 2012-13. 4 Teams are Relegated to 'B' Div. - Dhrama Raja Union. SWRLY, RBI. Southern Blues. for the year 2012-13.

Bangalore Deistrict Football Association organised "A" Division and Super DIvision Football League 2012-13 has been started again today at Bangalore Stadium after a two and half month gap. In Today match RBI's Umshankar and LRDE's Chandrakumar scored hattrick for their teams.

KSFA- The Governing Body of Karnataka Football Association has arranged their own Ambulance in the field during the match alongwith a strong medical unit where well experienced Dr.Syed Sholi was present.

26.07.2012: Exhibition football match held between BEML AND HAL, where BEML beat HAL 2-1. Shri. K.G.Bopaiah. Speaker of Karnataka State Assembly distributed the George Hoover Trophy and Mementos for Winners BEML and Runners - HAL. KSFA Donated the Cash Prize for the Winners and Runners Rs.50,000/- and Rs.30,000/- respectively. Mr. A.R..Khaleel, President of KSFA and Sr.Vice President AIFF gave the Cash Prize for the bothe teams.

Stephen of BEML got the Best Player and Top Scoreer award for 11goals while Raj Kiran of ADE have got the award of Promising up-coming Player.

18.06.2012 : Shri. K.KODANDAPANI, General Secretary of HAL football club died today in the age 75 at his residence Ulsoor, Karnataka, Bangalore.

He represents famous club during those days is "Bangalore Blues". He was a national referee and he also represents state team in the Carom. In his career he represents Bangalore University football team along with.

He was the sports general secretary during 1977 to 1989 and introduced HAL junior football team. In that time he recruited brilliant players like H Chandrasekar, goalkeeper Mani, Jacob etc. During his time in general secretary, HAL won Tiruchi all India football trophy, league championship in 1984 and also played Rovers Cup, Durnad Cup, DCM Cup to make popular his team in National level.

His father was Late Krishnappa, a famous hockey player and he is niece of E. Krishnanarayan General Secretary of KSFA.

Most of the ex-players along with employees of HAL visited his house after his death. He was cremated at kallapally electric crematorium at 2 p.m. today.

Another Great Footballer from Karnataka, Olympian T.Shanmugam turns by tomorrow 93 yrs. At this age he can attend phones and mobiles.

5.10.2012: A the Bangalore Football Stadium on Friday, two quarterfinals - brought forward due to Saturday's bandh - ended in disappointment for two contenders for the Equality Cup. Farook Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, last year's runners up, breezed through its three league stage matches but was ousted by Regina Mundi High School, Goa. Viraj Naik's stunning goal in the 34th minute took the Goa team through to the Semifinal.

In a second disappointment for all at the stadium, Parikrma Centre for Learning lost to Inventure Academy in a nail-biting match that went into penalties. Inventure Academy's captain Nirvair Nair and three of his teammates sent three scorching penalty shots past the Parikrma goalkeeper, winning 4-3 in penalties. In the group stage matches, Boys Sports Company - ASC has an easy time, beating Mallya Aditi 4-0 and Frank Anthony Public School 5-0. ASC will advance to the quarterfinals along with Greenwood High from Group C, while DYSS - Govt Sports School, and The International School Bangalore go through to the quarterfinals.

While teams kept up the energy on the pitch, JR kept the crowds entertained, with spectator competitions, player trivia and non-stop commentary. Due to Saturday's bandh, the next two Quarterfinal matches will be played on Sunday, followed by the Semifinals, matches for 3rd and 4th rank, and the much-awaited final for the Equality Cup. There will also be a unique exhibition match on Sunday morning, between the Parikrma Champions League All-Star team comprised of the best 16 players from across all teams, against HAL.

Rahul Bose, Bollywood actor and rugby player, will come to Bangalore to watch the finals and give away the trophy to the winning team.

Bangalore Football Stadium come alive again at Day 2 of the Parikrma Champions League. The league matches for Groups A and B were thrilling as the young players battled it out in the hot sun to make it through to the knock-out stage of the tournament. Farook Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, won both its matches by overwhelming margins, thrashing Karnataka Vidyashala 13-0 and then beating Inventure Academy 5-0. At the end of the day, Farook Higher Secondary School, Inventure Academy from Group A, and Parikrma Centre for Learning and Regina Mundi from Group B are through to the knock-out stage.

About : The Parikrma Champions League is a 5-day one-of a kind U-16 boys football tournament is scheduled to be held from for October 3-7 2012. This will be the 2nd edition of the Tournament. The Tournament is organised by The vision of Parikrma, a non-profit organization that provides best possible English language education for under-served children. Thirteen schools from Bangalore and three outstation teams would compete in this tournament.

Parikrma Champions League, presented by Menzies Aviation in association with the Karnataka State Football Association, will see the best players fight it out for the Equality Cup, a uniquely designed trophy that symbolizes the breaking down of social barriers.
