24.06.2007 : The Indian Air Force Football Team,who will be played in Kolkata Football League Super Division Directly from comming season of SAHARA CFL 2007 and currently they are playing IFA CELEBRATION TRADES CUP 2007 to gather some experience.
The last Team from Indian Millitary who played in Kolkata League was Eastern Command in the 80 Decade.The Air Force Team already has played in Delhi 1st Div. Football League and NFL 2nd Divn.Last Five years, they were the Champion of Delhi Football League for 4 times.
Wing Commander Mr. Arijit Bose and Wing Commander Mr.R.K.Das mainly organise the Team. The Team Secretary, Wing Commander Mr. Bose arranged this proposal to play in IFA League this year and IFA gladly accepted the proposal and advised them to particapet in the coming SAHARA CFL Super Division League with some famous teams like Tollygunj Agragami,Aryan Club, Calcutta Football Club, Railway Football Club,Police Atheletic Club etc...
Wing Commander Mr. R.K.Das who was also a Footballer in his age and played Santosh Trophy for Services and played so many times in Delhi League for Air Force team, is now the In-charge of This team in Kolkata.
Sanat Kar The senior most Footballer of the team is now acting as Team's coach along with Delhi coach Mr.Tapan Guchhait.The Air Force team is playing in Delhi League as well as Kolkata League.
Out of 16 currently registered squad,12 Footballer are Bengali,and they have some experience with kolkata football flavour.
Wing Commander Mr. Das expressed that their aim is to play in the Premier league of Kolkata Football League Next Year.
